If you’re part of a charity, not-for-profit, or community organisation and think design support could be helpful, you’re welcome to get in touch.

Tris is a graphic designer and content maker who is most content when using his design brain in a thoughtful, practical way. After years of working across content, communication, and design, Tris realised that he wasn’t driven by success; helping out and giving away work always felt best.

Through Contentedness, Tris works with charities, not-for-profits, and community organisations that need design support but may not have the resources to access it otherwise.

About

Use of AI

Contentedness does not use generative AI tools in the creation of design or content.

The growing use of generative AI for creative work undermines the years of training, practice, and skill development that graphic designers and artists invest in their work. These tools are increasingly used as substitutes for engaging designers and artists, even though they are built on vast amounts of uncredited creative work. This raises serious concerns around consent, authorship, and the ongoing viability of creative practice.

There is also a substantial environmental cost associated with AI systems. The energy, water, and infrastructure required to train and operate these tools continue to grow as demand increases. When AI is positioned as a shortcut or efficiency solution, these impacts are often minimised or ignored. At scale, this becomes a false economy, where perceived convenience comes at the expense of environmental responsibility.
